G'day,

While I love and respect those among us who favor the use of

the word symbol "Patron," as I was waiting for my early morning coffee to
brew, I perceived a strong, somewhat negative reaction in myself toward its
usage.

It took me a few sips and some moments of intelligent reflection to

understand why.

The Merriam-Webster (especially the words that I've bolded) confirmed what
I was thinking/feeling and my way of describing it to myself (Geoff the
elder is still sleeping!) - a patriarchal, perhaps archaic, word that an
organization who wants to appeal to the youth, in their vernacular, might
not want to put front and center.

Please forgive me if I sound . . . patronizing. I've not had my second cup
yet.

Kindly,

~Susan Meyers

Please help us find a great name for the Urantia Book Fellowship’s
monthly donor program.

The following is a starter list of possible names for the UBF’s
monthly auto-debit donor program ($5/mo and up). They are listed without
rank or judgement as a brainstorming exercise. Hopefully they will inspire
you to come up with an attractive name for this important program. The
Fellowship is working to broaden its base of supporters to include donations
modest or large. Every little bit helps as we prepare for the future.

Please send us your opinions on the ideas below and feel free to add
your own to the list. If you come up with a new idea that is ultimately
chosen as the program name the UBF Treasurer will send you a leather-bound
Urantia Book as a gift in recognition of your creativity.

	Thankyou
